Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin fakeer. [Surah Qasas:28]
O Lord,Verily I am in ( desperate ) need of (whatever) good you may send me.
I don’t know whether there can be favourites in dua, but personally I like this dua very much.
I have found myself at crossroads during various phases in my life.They were times of difficulty when the future seemed bleak and I could not decide which path to take next. All my efforts seemed wasted away. I would be confused whether I should be praying for patience or for strengthening my faith or for something else. At those moments, this dua helps me greatly.
It reminds me to surrender to the will of Allah and that we are puppets in His Hands. It reminds me that whatever happens in my life is for my own good and Allah knows when and how to give it. And that only Allah knows what is good for me. Yes, Oh Allah! not only in times of adversity but also in times of prosperity, I am always a fakeer of Your blessings.
